Target Sponsorship

88.7 KCME-FM is constantly evolving and growing. During the course of its development, projects frequently come into being that require special major funding. Without such funding, the financial resources required to execute the project would severely deplete the funds set aside for the usual business expenses. In such cases, a “target sponsor” is sought who is prepared to underwrite the major cost of the project.

Although target sponsorship may come from either businesses or individuals, it is especially beneficial to businesses that are anxious to get their name well known in the community. By being a target sponsor, the business’s (also an individual’s) donation is acknowledged every time the project is mentioned on the air or in print.

88.7 KCME-FM has a need for target sponsorship for several upcoming projects, most notably:

Internet Streaming. Because of new regulatory considerations, it became too costly for 88.7 KCME-FM to continue streaming its signal over the Internet. After a great deal of diligent research, however, it has once again become feasible (hear for yourself). As you might expect, this service is not without its costs; the monthly service fees and royalty fees are high enough that a target sponsor is necessary and being sought. In this case, acknowledgement would be daily on-air, and displayed prominently to visitors to www.kcme.org.
