We are currently seeking a qualified Corporate Sales Representative

Cheyenne Mountain Pubic Broadcast House, Inc. dba Classical KCME and Jazz 93.5 in Colorado Springs is seeking a motivated, client-focused, self-starter to acquire and renew business funding to support local classical and jazz programming. Required skills are those associated with an outside, business to business sales person to include prospecting for new accounts, writing proposals and on-air copy, delivering presentations and looking for new funding opportunities. Excellent communications skills, understanding of the Pikes Peak region business community, and occasional travel within southern Colorado is necessary.

You’ll be selling underwriting sponsorships not only on KCME, a long-established and trusted source of classical music and culture in the Pikes Peak region, but also on Jazz 93.5, a newer jazz service for Colorado Springs.

An undergraduate degree or its equivalent is required. A passion for music and culture as a positive catalyst for change is a must! Previous sales experience is required, and sales experience in media is highly preferred. Excellent commission structure with base to start. The successful candidate will inherit a roster of active accounts and leads.

We are currently seeking a Part-time, On-air Weekend Show Host, Classical KCME 88.7 Radio, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Cheyenne Mountain Public Broadcast House, aka KCME, is looking for an experienced radio host for weekends; Saturdays and Sundays, 1:00-6:00pm, must be available to operate the board on Saturday afternoons for the Metropolitan Opera broadcasts; and available on some Sunday afternoons to facilitate live broadcasts of the CS Philharmonic.

Our KCME hosts must have a passion for classical music and for the audience.  The candidate must be an experienced broadcaster with a working knowledge of classical music. However, this is a great opportunity for someone with excellent classical music knowledge and understanding to begin a career in broadcasting. We will train the right candidate on the technical requirements as a host. The position will include on-air voice tracking your weekend shows and live hosting during our on-air fundraising drives. You’ll be part of a team of broadcasting professionals connecting with our audience in new and innovative ways to enrich people’s lives with classical music.

Candidate must have a passion for and a basic knowledge of classical music, and the facility to pronounce classical names and titles appropriately. The person must have an engaging presentation style that can weave classical music into a show effortlessly and be inviting to new and current listeners. Candidate must be able to work well with others and have experience working in radio, with an overall understanding of broadcast operations, programming automation systems.
