Jana Lee, though not a native of Colorado Springs, is a member of one of its largest subcultures—a military brat. “My dad retired here and, after a lot of individual milling about, the whole family has ended up back in the Springs. I guess we all decided it was a pretty nice place to live.”
Most of Jana’s “milling about” took place in Boulder, Colorado, where she pursued higher education at the University of Colorado and worked as a church musician, actress, secretary, editor, waitress and cleaning lady, among a lot of other odd jobs; she considers herself to be truly a jack-of-all-trades. After brief (very brief) sojourns to New York and California, Jana settled back in Colorado Springs.
Jana is KCME’s Music Director, and in addition to spending time with her large and raucous family, Jana teaches piano and voice.
