OVERVIEW
KCME (“KCME” or “we”) is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. This Privacy Policy sets forth the manner in which KCME uses any information you provide to us. The information that we request from you is designed to enable us to improve your experience with the Web sites owned or operated by KCME (the “Site”) and the content, material and data (the “Content”) available on or through the Site.
PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
The only personally identifiable information we collect when you use the Site and subscribe to our monthly newsletter is your email address. We will not sell, rent or otherwise distribute your personally identifiable information to any third parties without your consent, except: (a) in the event of a change of control associated with the sale, merger, transfer, or other disposition of all or a portion of the business of KCME, in which case the new controlling party shall receive the information we collect; (b) if we are required to provide the information to a third party by law; and (c) to enable our third-party agents or other persons providing services or products to perform their obligations under agreements between KCME and such third parties or persons.
KCME may use the personally identifiable information we collect from you for the following purposes: (a) to send you notices related to the Site, Content, and current and future KCME programs and services, including notices of modifications to this policy; (b) to send you news, information and special offers from us, including any contest KCME may choose to sponsor; and (c) to process any application for services or goods offered by or through KCME, and administer and bill your account and verify your rights to such services or goods, including submission of your credit card information to the credit institution for normal processing (we don’t share your credit history or credit card numbers with other companies or third parties).
Before we use your personally identifiable information to send you information or otherwise communicate with you, we ask that you indicate your wish to receive such communication by “opting in” to inclusion on our mailing lists by providing us with your e-mail address on the Site.
CHILDREN UNDER 13 YEARS OF AGE
We will not knowingly collect personal information from or about anyone we know is under the age of thirteen (13) without prior parental consent, except as required by law. If for any reason you wish to access, update or remove information about your child that has been previously provided to us, please notify us.
We strongly recommend parental supervision when a child uses the Internet, particularly when a child enters a discussion forum or uses email. We also encourage parents to instruct their children not to give out personal information in discussion forums or in email.
NON-PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE AND AGGREGATE INFORMATION
We may gather anonymous data related to the pages and items that are viewed, clicked on, streamed, and searched for, and the URLs that users may click on from the Site or Content.
KCME uses this information only in aggregate form to understand how users are using the Site and Content so that we can improve our services and make them as useful and enjoyable as possible for our visitors. We will occasionally release aggregate demographic information about user trends to third parties, including underwriters. We may also retain aggregated log files of requested content in order to report overall product usage to third parties and to evaluate user trends.
To enhance your experience while using the Site and the Content, we use a feature called a “cookie.” Cookies are small files that are sent to your web browser that your web browser then places on your computer’s hard drive. We use cookies to recognize your browser. If you are uncomfortable with cookie technology you may change the settings on your browser to disable cookies, but this may make it difficult or impossible for you to access or use some or all of the Site or Content.
We also store your IP address. IP addresses are used by your computer every time you are connected to the Internet. Your IP address is a number that is used by computers on the network to identify your computer so that data (such as the web pages you request) can be sent to you.
Third Party Web Sites. Please note that KCME does not control, and has no responsibility or liability for, the policies and practices of our underwriters or of web sites you may access through links on the Site or the Content. If you have questions about these parties’ use of information they may gather from you when you click on their announcements or go to their web site, please contact them directly.
PROMOTIONS AND SWEEPSTAKES
If you chose to enter a promotion, sweepstakes, or contest hosted by KCME or sponsored by KCME and/or one of our partners, we may ask for your name, address, and email address. You may be asked to provide additional information or to answer certain questions, some of which may be optional, in order to participate. We may contact you in connection with a particular promotion, such as a sweepstakes or contest, in order to update your status, administer the promotion, let you know that a promotion has ended, and for other purposes.
Promotions that are hosted on KCME may be sponsored by KCME, may be co-sponsored by KCME and another company, or may be sponsored by companies other than KCME. Some or all of the data collected during a promotion may be shared with the sponsor(s) or companies indicated on the entry form. If data will be shared, then there will be notice prior to the time of data collection or transfer.

We want to protect the integrity of your personal information that we may have in our database. KCME maintains reasonable controls to provide security over personal information, including credit card details, such as (a) the use of secure connections from your Web browser to KCME for any credit card information; and (b) use of encryption for sensitive personal information, such as credit card numbers. While KCME strives to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure and do not warrant the security of any information. Communication via the Internet is not failsafe, and there is always a possibility that data may be lost, or intercepted by unauthorized parties during such transmission or after receipt by KCME. You agree that KCME shall have no liability whatsoever in connection with such lost or intercepted data.
